Project Artifact - Gauntlet

This is the gauntlet I made for our internal project called "Project Artifact." We had some rough concepts and reference from other gauntlets but ultimately I was given a lot of creative freedom to design this as long as it met our needs. The gauntlet is being used as a teaching tool for VFX artists so it was important to make sure it accommodated the most common VFX requests that we receive. We wanted it to have some ambient effects, shoot a projectile, and utilize different elemental effects. Our partners at Bad Rhino also wanted it to look like something that had been worked on and evolved over time. To accomplish that I tried to make it look like something someone had built in their garage: for instance, like the fire projectile had been added on to it at some point, but originally it just utilized the glove and electricity.
